Ingredients

  • Flatbread Base
  • 4 flatbreads or naan
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Beef Layer
  • ½ lb lean ground beef
  • ¼ cup finely diced onion
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Sauce
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle relish
  • Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • Dill pickle slices, patted dry
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Method

  1. Before You Begin
  2. Prepare your cookware as needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your equipment and ingredients.
  3. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place flatbreads on a lined baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef, onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned and internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Drain excess fat.
  4. In a small bowl, stir mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and relish until smooth.
  5. Spread a thin layer of sauce over each flatbread. Top evenly with cooked beef and shredded cheese.
  6. Bake 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted, edges are lightly golden, and flatbread is crisp.
  7. Remove from oven. Top with lettuce, pickles, and sesame seeds. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use thin flatbreads and drain beef well for crisp texture.
  • Cook ground beef to 160°F (71°C) before assembling.
  • Do not bake lettuce or pickles; add after heating.
  • Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours and store up to 3 days.
  • Reheat until heated through before serving.
