Before You Begin
Prepare all ingredients and lightly grease the slow cooker insert if needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your slow cooker model, ingredient size, and heat setting. Always check that chicken is fully cooked and vegetables are tender before serving.
Prep Chicken
Cut chicken into cubes and season lightly.
Sear Chicken
Heat oil in skillet. Brown chicken 4–5 minutes, not fully cooked.
Fill Slow Cooker
Add chicken, flour, herbs, garlic, onion, carrots, potatoes, and broth. Add bay leaf.
Slow Cook
Cook on LOW 7–8 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours until vegetables are soft. The chicken is fully cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Make It Creamy
Add milk and peas. Cook 10–15 minutes more until peas soften and broth thickens.
Serve
Remove and discard the bay leaf before serving
