Before You Begin
Preheat and prepare your cookware as needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your equipment and ingredients
Prepare Marinade
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, garlic, and black pepper. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Marinate Beef
Add sliced beef and mix until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
Heat Pan
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of oil.
Sear Beef
Cook beef in batches in a single layer. Allow it to sear briefly before turning.
Finish Cooking
Cook until beef is browned, caramelized, and reaches a safe internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) or desired doneness.
Serve
Remove from heat and serve warm with rice or preferred sides.
