Method

  1. ¾ cup mayonnaise
  2. ¾ cup sour cream
  3. ¼–¾ tsp dried dill
  4. ½ tsp dried parsley
  5. ½ tsp dried chives
  6. ½ tsp garlic powder
  7. ¼ tsp onion powder
  8. ⅛ tsp salt
  9. ⅛ tsp black pepper
  10. 1–3 tsp lemon juice or white vinegar
  11. Before You Begin
  12. Measure all ingredients before starting. Use full-fat dairy for the best texture and flavor. After mixing, allow the dip to chill so the herbs can hydrate and the flavors can fully develop. Texture and taste may vary slightly depending on ingredient brands.
  13. Add mayonnaise, sour cream, herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice/vinegar to a bowl.
  14. Whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  15. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to blend.
  16. Stir before serving. Enjoy with chips, vegetables, wings, or fries.
  17. Cooking Notes
  18. This is a no-cook recipe. Prep takes about 5 minutes, followed by at least 2 hours of chilling to allow the flavors to fully blend and deepen.
  19. Total time is approximately 2 hours 5 minutes.
  20. For best results, stir the dip once after chilling and adjust seasoning if needed before serving. The dip will thicken slightly as it rests. If a looser consistency is preferred, add a small splash of milk or water and stir gently.
