Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • Optional toppings
  • Soft cheese
  • Fresh herbs
  • Chopped nuts
  • Balsamic glaze

Method

  1. Before You Begin
  2. Prepare your cookware as needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your equipment and ingredients.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (about 375–400°F / 190–200°C) and lightly oil the surface.
  4. Slice apples into ¼–½ inch wedges or rounds and brush lightly with oil or melted butter.
  5. Place apples on grill and cook 2–3 minutes per side until grill marks appear and apples are tender-crisp but still hold shape.
  6. Remove apples from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  7. Wrap or layer apples with prosciutto.
  8. Drizzle honey evenly over apples just before serving.
  9. Add optional toppings if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use firm apples so they hold their shape while grilling.
  • Grill just until tender to avoid a mushy texture.
  • Add honey after grilling to prevent burning.
  • Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours and store airtight up to 2 days.
  • Reheat gently over low heat until warmed through.
