Before You Begin
Prepare your slow cooker and ingredients as needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your equipment and ingredients.
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add beans, onion, garlic, and green chilies on top.
Sprinkle cumin, oregano, chili powder, salt, and black pepper evenly.
Pour chicken broth over everything. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and shreds easily.
Remove chicken to a plate and shred using two forks, then return it to the slow cooker.
Add cream cheese cubes and stir until fully melted and smooth with no visible lumps.
Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve warm.
