Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup caramel sauce, (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 4–5 medium apples, sliced
  • Pretzels or graham crackers for dipping
  • Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts

Method
 

  1. Before You Begin
  2. Prepare your ingredients and tools as needed. Results may vary depending on your ingredients. Wash and dry all produce thoroughly. Do not leave prepared food at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
  3. Beat Cream Cheese
  4. Beat softened cream cheese on medium speed until completely smooth with no lumps.
  5. Add Sugar
  6. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until thick and creamy.
  7. Add Flavorings
  8. Add caramel sauce, vanilla, and lemon juice. Mix just until smooth and uniform. Do not overmix.
  9. Transfer
  10. Spread mixture into serving dish. Drizzle with extra caramel and add nuts if desired.
  11. Serve
  12. Serve immediately with apples, pretzels, or crackers.
