  • Burger Patties
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ¼ tsp onion powder (optional)
  • For Serving
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 cheese slices (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickle slices
  • Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise

Method
 

  1. Before You Begin
  2. Preheat and prepare your cookware as needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your equipment and ingredients. Wash hands and utensils after handling raw meat to prevent cross-contamination.
  3. Form Patties
  4. Combine ground beef and seasonings gently. Shape into 4 patties slightly wider than buns. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty.
  5. Cook Patties
  6. Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook 4–5 minutes per side until browned and internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Add Cheese
  8. Place cheese on patties during the last minute of cooking and cover briefly to melt.
  9. Toast Buns
  10. Toast buns until lightly golden for best texture.
  11. Assemble
  12. Place patties on buns and add toppings and condiments as desired. Serve immediately.
