Ingredients
  

  • cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Pinch salt

Method

  2. Preheat and prepare your cookware as needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your equipment and ingredients.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  4. Beat butter and sugars until smooth and creamy.
    Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
    Whisk flour and salt separately.
    Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each, then stir in vanilla.
  6. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
  8. Spread batter into prepared dish.
  9. Bake 30–35 minutes until edges are golden and center is set around edges but slightly soft in the middle.
  10. Cool 20–30 minutes until the center firms slightly for clean slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Do not overmix batter to keep texture tender.
  • Slightly underbake for a soft center; residual heat finishes cooking.
  • Use room-temperature butter for smooth blending.
  • Bake until fully set and safe to eat; do not consume raw batter.
  • Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours and store sealed.
  • Reheat portions until warmed through before serving.
