Before You Begin
Preheat and prepare your cookware as needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your equipment and ingredients.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook onion 3–4 minutes until softened.
Add minced garlic and cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in shredded chicken, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and barbecue sauce. Cook 3–5 minutes until the chicken is heated through and steaming hot throughout.
In a small bowl, mix butter, garlic, and parsley until combined.
Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice.
Place bread butter-side down in a clean skillet over medium-low heat.
Layer cheese, BBQ chicken filling, and another slice of cheese. Top with remaining bread butter-side up.
Cook 3–4 minutes per side until bread is golden brown and cheese melts fully.
Remove from heat, rest 1 minute, slice, and serve warm.
