Ingredients
Method
- Before You Begin
- Prepare your cookware as needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your equipment and ingredients.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or foil.
- Rinse asparagus and pat completely dry. Trim woody ends.
- Cut bacon slices in half. Wrap one piece around each asparagus spear, spiraling gently without stretching. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
- Drizzle lightly with olive oil and season with garlic powder and black pepper. Add salt only if desired.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 18–22 minutes, turning once halfway through, until bacon is crisp and asparagus is tender.
- Remove from oven and rest briefly before serving. Add optional garnishes if desired.
- Alternative Cooking Methods
- Air Fryer: Cook at 390°F (200°C) until bacon is crisp and asparagus is tender, turning once.
- Grill: Cook over medium-high heat, turning as needed, until bacon is crisp and asparagus is tender.
Notes
• Thin-cut bacon crisps faster and prevents asparagus from overcooking.
• Dry asparagus thoroughly before wrapping to avoid steaming.
• Leave space between spears for even roasting.
Storage
• Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours and store airtight up to 3 days.
Reheating
• Reheat gently in oven or air fryer until warmed through and bacon becomes crisp again.
