Before You Begin
Prepare your cookware as needed. Cooking times and results may vary depending on your equipment and ingredients.
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Generously grease a 12-cup muffin pan.
In a mixing bowl, whisk milk, eggs, syrup, applesauce, and vanilla until fully blended.
Add oats, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until evenly combined.
Fold in chopped apples and optional nuts.
Divide mixture evenly into muffin cups, ensuring each portion contains both liquid and oats.
Bake 28–30 minutes, or until tops look set and lightly golden.
Visual cue: centers should feel firm and no longer wet.
Allow to cool 5–10 minutes before removing from pan.
